EatClub – Adelaide Launch

Legendary celebrity chef, Marco Pierre White, is bringing his pioneering mobile app, EatClub, to Adelaide; a city that he says has one of the best food scenes in Australia. Revolutionising the way Australians dine-out, EatClub is a world-first dynamic pricing platform that allows restaurants to instantly fill empty tables, and customers to enjoy incredible dining deals.

Co-Founded by the former Melbourne City Manager of Foodora and Adelaide native Pan Koutlakis, EatClub has already captured the Australian market and the unwavering support of Marco Pierre White.

“We took a risk and cold called Marco to pitch him the idea,” EatClub Co-Founder and CEO Pan Koulakis says.

“We never could have predicted his response – he came on board immediately as both an ambassador and a shareholder, and has used his unparalleled experience as a Michelin star chef and restaurateur to develop and launch the app.”

Built under White’s guidance, EatClub helps restaurants gain customers during off-peak periods. In just seconds, restaurants can upload last-minute deals to the app from their smartphone which customers can then redeem, in real-time.

For restaurants, this means filling their empty tables during quieter periods of the day, while diners can reap the benefits of delicious discounted meals – it’s a win-win.

“How many times do I walk into restaurants in Australia, or Britain, and they’re half empty on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night?” says Marco Pierre White.

“And how many of these restaurateurs are doing a fantastic job? So, we’re putting a spotlight on these restaurants.”

In less than a year of business, EatClub has already garnered over 1,200 venues across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with over 200,000 diners enjoying an EatClub deal. The team’s latest conquest brings EatClub close to home, with an official Adelaide launch kicking off this week.

Marco and the team at EatClub want to see the people of Adelaide eating out, more often. While platforms like UberEats and Menulog are leading to more people eating at home, EatClub aims to bring people back into venues and enjoy food the way it was meant to be eaten – straight from the kitchen.

Only high-quality venues are invited to EatClub and several ‘hatted’ restaurants are members, including venues from the esteemed Rockpool and Ormeggio Groups. Local venues Burgastronomy, Midnight Spaghetti, Propoganda, Thanh Thanh Vietnamese, 2KW and Electra House have already signed on, along with a fleet of other iconic Adelaide restaurants.

“I insisted on launching EatClub in Adelaide over Perth, Canberra and Western Sydney. Some of Australia’s best restaurants are in Adelaide and I am always impressed by the quality of the food here,” says White.

Using EatClub, Adelaide diners can enjoy up to 50% off their entire bill, including drinks. It’s South Australia’s chance to experience the app before it goes international, with EatClub launching in New York in January of next year.

To celebrate EatClub’s Adelaide launch, Banh Mi on Grenfell Street are giving away 100 free banh mi for EatClub members on Wednesday 28th November. To get involved, customers simply need to download the EatClub app, open it at 11amm on the day and redeem a banh mi from Banh Mi on Grenfell Street’s EatClub profile.
