When tourists visit Adelaide, Hahndorf is one of those must visit destinations, particularly due to it’s rich German history. When the weather is nice and sunny, crowds line up for Evercream Ye Olde Icecreamery. Into their twentieth year, Evercream are an institution in Hahndorf, and serve up healthy gelati and ice cream that is free of artificial flavours, colours and preservatives. There are over 70 flavours to choose from with 16 flavours at the front at any one time.

Today, we sampled the Choco Mint flavour which was served in a small cup. The ice cream was a bright green, and was smooth and creamy in texture with crunchy chocolate bits thrown into the mix. It was light and refreshing, and perfect for today’s weather. The staff were really friendly and the service was fast and efficient. There are a handful of seats inside and out, and they also do waffles and coffee as well. Check it out next time you’re in Hahndorf.
