Right after Vietnamese food, Afghan eateries are also popping up all over the place. At the same location that was once two different fish and chip shops comes something that is a bit more unique to the area. Customers get to choose from kebabs, skewers, chicken, biryani, falafel and other authentic dishes. Have no fear, if you’re into any of those dishes, you can still get your fish and chips, burgers, charcoal chicken and yiros.
For lunch, I ordered the Chicken AB. The chicken is not your typical yiros meat but marinated the Afghan way. The garlic sauce was a little watery and the chilli sauce I had asked for was notably absent. The chips could have been a bit crunchier.
The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was reasonable. The cost of the small AB was $9.90 which is pretty good.
