Right on the boundary of the Jetty Road cafe precinct in Brighton is the appropriately named Edge Deli. Their offerings include over a dozen breakfast options, sandwiches, salads, snacks and a daily lunch menu. Like all good places, they also have a cabinet section full of sweets.

The decor is very eclectic with 1950’s mismatched tables and chairs. To the left of the entrance is a communal bench, and outside there is plenty of seating which is perfect during the Summer months.

Today, I ordered the Raspberry and White Chocolate Baked Cheesecake. The decadently sweet white chocolate worked perfectly well with the smooth velvety cheesecake filling. The raspberry was tart and the pistachio added a nice crunchy texture. The base was moist and crumbly, and every bite was rather heavenly.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was on par with other cafes. The cost of the slice of the cheesecake was $7.50 which I thought was good value considering how much I enjoyed it.
A simple unassuming place which is perfect to grab a bite to eat.
