My 3 favourite food groups are pizza, burgers and dessert, and the new Crave 443 offers all of these at the same place. The menu is simple and straight forward with 4 burgers to choose from. Then there are 10 gourmet pizzas that come in 2 different sizes, and are also available in dessert form.

The decor at this place is very cool and funky, with good use of timber throughout. The pressed metal and African mahogany bench top at the front counter area is one of it’s unique features, and whole fit out is tastefully done. The place seats over 30 if you include the outdoor seating.

For dinner, I had the Crave burger, which arrived at my table less than 15 minutes after ordering. The burger was really well presented and was of a decent size. The beef patty was nice and thick, and was the same diameter as the sourdough bun. The meat was well marinated and juicy, and you could taste the lovely smokey flavours. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, and the tomato was sweet and ripe. The sourdough bun was firm and fresh, and held all the ingredients in well. A surprisingly simple and yet great tasting burger.

The staff were really friendly and they were happy to talk about their business. Both drinks and the meal arrived promptly, and everything was cleared as I finished. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was reasonable and on par with their competitors. The cost of the Crave burger was $12, and represented good value considering the taste, quality of the ingredients, and it’s size.

I know Adelaide has been flooded with burger joints, but this place is well worth a try.
