Viva Pizzeria

In just about every suburb, you have your local pizza bar. In the Plympton area, this pizza bar is Viva Pizzeria. Located in a small complex on Anzac Highway, this place is one of the few places to offer pizzas in 5 different sizes, from the small 9 inch to the king size 24 inches. Like most places, the pizza menu is divided into traditional and gourmet. Of course, if you don’t want pizza, there are 5 different pastas to go with 12 different pasta sauces. There are also ribs, wings, schnitzels and salads.

The store is primarily take away and delivery, however, there is a small table outside the store should you choose to dig into your meal immediately.

For dinner, I had the large pizza with The Lot. The pizza was ready after a 20 minute wait and was nicely presented. The toppings were generously applied and were well distributed. The saltiness of the salami and olives complemented the sweetness of the capsicum and pineapple. The base was consistently thick throughout, although it was a little too firm for my liking.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. Normally a large traditional pizza would set you back $13, but on Mondays, large pizzas are $9.50. Both good value which ever way you look at it.

Their pizzas use fresh high quality ingredients and the toppings are generous. I thought the crust may have been a tad overcooked.
