Duffy’s Bakery first opened it’s store back in 1968 over in Norwood. As a family owned and operated store, they steadily expanded and opened a shop within the Bayside Village Shopping Centre in Glenelg.
Like most bakeries, there are an assortment of sweet and savoury products on offer. Choose from a large selection of pies, pasties, sausage rolls, filos, puffs, frittatas, mini pizzas and quiches. The front cabinet is packed with cakes and sweets, all of them made by hand without preservatives or artificial flavours.

Today, I ordered the Spinach and Tomato Roll. Generous in size, the pastry was nice and flaky. The spinach, potato and tomato filling was compressed until it was soft and delicate. The filling was well flavoured, and it was absolute delight to eat.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The Spinach and Tomato roll set me back $4.80 which is fairly reasonable, as are their other pastry products.
This is my new favourite bakery down at the bay.
