Cafe TOB (Trading on Broadway) is an extension to the main store which sells gifts, furniture and interior decor. It only makes sense to offer customers food and beverages as shopping certainly works up an appetite. The menu is small with 8 items on offer, however, it’s the quality of the dishes and not the quantity which is important.

The cafe is essentially space down the side of a house. There are a few seats out on the pavement, as well as at the counter area and out at the back. The place is neat and well presented, however, nothing spectacular.

For lunch, I ordered the Chicken, Spinach and Feta Patties which was served with a pea and coriander hummus and salad. The dish was ready after a 10 minute wait and was nicely presented.
The patties were of a nice size and were lightly browned on each side. The chicken was tender and succulent, and present in large chunks inside the patties. The spinach had a mineral like taste which was complemented by the mild creamy taste of the feta. The pea and coriander hummus was smooth and delicate, while the salad was fresh and crisp.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was reasonable. The dish set me back $14.90 which wasn’t bad for a healthy and satisfying meal.
