Strawberry Fair Bakery is a small family owned store located on busy South Road in Clovelly Park. One of the advantages of being a bakery is it’s fresh supply of Vietnamese rolls. This compliments their food offerings quite nicely. All their clientele are take away customers as there is no seating at this bakery.
For lunch, I ordered a Roast Pork Roll. As I saw it being made, the store attendant spread a layer of egg mayonnaise followed by a layer of pate onto the cut roll. Pickled carrot, coriander, cucumber and fresh chilli were added followed by a generous serving of freshly cooked roast pork. The roast pork was fairly lean and well marinated. The meat was tender and succulent, and there was a good proportion of meat and crunchy skin. The pickled carrot provided a subtle sweetness while the cucumber added a nice crunchy texture. The fresh chilli added a bit of excitement with every bite, and it goes without saying, the bread roll was nice and crusty.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The cost of the Roast Pork roll was $4.50 which is fairly cheap considering it was pretty good. The only let down of this place is the lack of seating. I would really have enjoyed it more had I been able to sit down and eat it in store.

these vietnamese rolls seems to be all over near you? we dont really have them at all…
I think it’s due to the Vietnamese community we have in Adelaide and around Australia.
