The thing I love about the Central Market is that the food is cheap, and we’re not even talking about sitting inside a food court. Guilin Rice Noodles is a prime example. The food is typical Chinese with main meals around the $15 mark. The store itself is deceptive in size but efficiently used. While it may look small, you an fit exactly 64 people in here.
Tonight, I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. The dish was ready in less than 15 minutes and the presentation was average. The serving size was generous and there was a good mixture of colour from the vegetables. Chicken thigh was used but they forgot to remove all the sinew. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, although the dish itself tasted bland. It appeared to be cooked in some chilli oil and even that lacked any heat.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was average. The dish wasn’t that great to be honest.
