Tucked away in the grocery and meat stalls of the Central Market is the Market Bread Bar. The stall is primarily a bakery although they do have a range of continental sweets to purchase. As with most stalls in the market, there’s no where to sit down so basically all their customers are take away.

Today, I ordered the Cherry Slice. It’s a fairly decent size for the $3.50 price tag. The slice is full of coconut and whole pieces of pipped cherry. The chocolate topping was nice and firm, and not overly sweet.

The staff were friendly, and the service was fast and efficient. The pricing is fair and the slice I had was very satisfying. Certainly worth checking out if you’re in the area.
