When it comes to food, there’s not much of a Swedish presence in Adelaide. If you’re looking for something a bit nicer than the cafeteria at IKEA, then Swedish Tarts is probably your best bet. With 3 stores in Adelaide, I visited one of their newer seaside stores at Henley Beach. As their name suggests, they do a nice selection of sweet and savoury treats. They have breakfast and lunch options, as well as a choice of beverages which includes fair trade organic coffee.
Today, I ordered their White Chocolate Slice. The slice was rather small in size and had a similar consistency to a thick fudge. The slice was topped off with white chocolate icing and white chocolate shards. Each bite was quite delicious, but ultimately, it was a bit rich for my liking.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed in this busy beachside location and the pricing of their sweets was reasonable. The $3.80 price tag for my slice was on par with other cafes selling similar products.
Not a bad place for a sweet treat, although I am tempted to try some of their meal options at a later date.
