Shopping in the Central Markets and have a bit of a sweet tooth? Well, look no further than the Providore.

The sweets are fresh and handmade, and there’s so much on offer, you’ll be spinning around in circles. From the top of my head there were chocolates, cookies, cakes, muffins and an assortment of sweets.

I picked their best looking dessert, the Baked Blueberry Cheesecake. It was really good! The presentation was nice and professional with blueberries and icing sugar adding to the appeal. The cheesecake had a thick consistency and you could taste the infused blueberry flavour. It was so rich and decadent, and had a nice creamy texture. It was subtle in sweetness which made me beg for more.

The staff were friendly, however, I felt the service was a bit slow. One of the store attendants behind the counter was basically ignoring me. The pricing is fair, particularly when you compare it to specialist dessert places. Their cheesecake was one of the best I’ve had.
