Bacchus Wine Bar

If I were reviewing Bacchus purely on location, it would get a perfect rating. The bar is literally metres away from the beach, and the views of the sunset during the Summer are simply amazing. The place itself is not that large, and the atmosphere will depend on the time of day you come here. On Friday evenings, they have a live band, so the venue can get quite noisy, however, if you come during the day, the ambience is more relaxed.

As a bar, they have a good selection of drinks and cocktails, however, if you’re feeling peckish, they also serve food. You can start the day off with the gourmet breakfast menu, or you can work your way through their tapas, pizza or seafood dishes.  We simply came in for a coffee today and we shared a Blueberry Muffin between us. It was nicely presented on a plate with drizzles of honey and whipped cream. The muffin was soft and moist with a nice bumpy exterior. By itself, the muffin tasted a bit bland, but the blueberries provided a much needed natural sweetness.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed during the day, and the pricing was on par with other eateries in the area. Morning, noon or night, it’s a nice little spot to relax, have a few drinks, and enjoy the beachside views.
