I’ve had this restaurant on my “to eat” list for quite some time, and tonight I got to experience some fine modern Australian cuisine. Located on the ground floor of the Majestic Hotel, the place is not particularly large, however, it is beautifully decorated.
The large stylish light fittings, the chique open bar, the classic timber furnishings, the clever use of dividers to create separate spaces and the charcoal colour coordination scheme, really exude elegance and class in this fine dining establishment.
Tonight, I ordered the Kangaroo Fillet. The dish came out after a 15 minute wait and all meals arrived at the same time. My dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The meat had a nice char grilled exterior and yet nice and pink in the centre. Each bite was melt in your mouth stuff. The sauce had unique Australian flavours which I wasn’t quite able to identify.

The staff here were very friendly and the service was quite exceptional. The placing of the cloth napkins on our laps, the constant refilling of drinks, the explanation of the menu items and the clearing of the plates when we were finished, all came together to make our evening enjoyable.
The atmosphere was relaxed, and the pricing was quite good for fine dining. Mains ranged between $20 to $30, which was quite good considering the quality and portion size. This place has date night written all over it, and it will certainly impress. Highly recommended!
