People usually go to airports because they have to fly somewhere, they’re in transit or they’re seeing someone off. Rarely do they come here just to hang out, but today, a group of friends and I just came to the airport for dessert. It sounded crazy, but in the end it was a good decision because this store wasn’t as busy as some of their stores around the city. The customers here are an ebb and flow of people flying in and out, and parking was just a 10 minute walk away.
Cocolat has a small breakfast menu, a range of beverages and a selection of their signature cupcakes and desserts. Spoilt for choice, I decided to go for the White Mud Cake. The dessert was well presented and the taste was even better. The white chocolate shards that surrounded the mud cake was orgasmically good. I’m still salivating as I write this. The mud cake has a nice rich white chocolate icing, and the cake itself was thick and decadent. This was really really really good!

The decor at this place was modern and stylish. The leather benches and the upholstery seating were really comfortable. A good thing considering we were there for over 2 and half hours. The pricing is more than reasonable when you compare it to specialist dessert places. The service can be a bit slow during busy periods, but we weren’t affected too much. All in all, it was a pleasant and unique way to spend the afternoon.
Word of warning. Leave your guns and explosives at home. You will need to go through a scanner to get to this place.
