Bali Corner is a take away store in the International Food Plaza food court in Chinatown. The place offers traditional “Warung” style Indonesian food and their menu uses fresh locally sourced ingredients. Fresh spices and chili are predominant in their dishes which are essential to Indonesian cuisine.
Today, I ordered the Beef Rendang. The dish reminded me of a dry beef curry that I once had at a Balinese restaurant. The meat was tender and well marinated. For the most part, the beef was lean, however, there were several fatty bits. The meat was also inconsistently cooked. There were several pieces of meat that were blackened which is a result of not stirring during the cooking process. The dish itself had a subtle hint of spice, but not too much to raise a sweat.

It was OK for me. Pricing was reasonable, but on par with other take away outlets. Still nothing to write home about.
