It’s not uncommon to see at least one food court store sell pies, pasties, sausage rolls, cakes and coffee these days. For the Myer Centre food court, Bake A Break is the store.

Today, I was intrigued by their cute little Penguin Meringues. At $3.50, these sweets are way overpriced, but they certainly make a nice photo and bonus points for creativity. For the most part, the meringue was light and crisp, however the inner part was hard as a rock. I suspect this batch of meringues were baking in the oven for too long.

Staff here were nice and friendly, however, their cute meringues aren’t going to make me a repeat customer.
