Cherry Blossom is a small sushi stall located in the Myer Centre food court. Not only do they sell sushi, but they also sell assorted sushi packs as well as a small range of Japanese salads. Seating is plentiful as they are located in a food court, however, all the seats are shared with the numerous other food outlets.
Today, I decided to try something new. I ordered the Salmon Brown Rice Sushi and the Free Range Chicken Brown Rice Sushi. Both sushi’s were wrapped in clear cellophane wrapping and were nicely presented. I did notice a discrepancy between the sushi lengths. The salmon sushi was about one centimetre shorter in length than my chicken sushi. Soy sauce was provided but wasabi was not.
SALMON – The salmon in my sushi was fresh but very conservatively applied. The avocado was ripe and the inclusion of Japanese mayonnaise made the sushi less dry. I felt this sushi was rather bland in taste.
CHICKEN – The chicken teriyaki was really good. Tender, well marinated with a generous amount. Absolutely divine!

With both the brown rice sushi’s, the rice seemed a bit firmer than normal. I’m not sure whether it was because the rice was brown or because the rice was prepared some time ago. Either way, these inside out sushi’s are difficult to eat as they are prone to falling apart.
The staff were very friendly and the service was pretty good. The pricing is on par with your other sushi chains, although the brown rice sushi costs slightly more. I’d come back for their teriyaki chicken sushi.
