Burp is one of the first Mexican places to open up in Adelaide. This made Burp a bit of a novelty. These days, Burp has competitors and you’ll find a Mexican place in most food courts. They’ve also simplified their menu since I last visited and their offerings are now more in line with Zambrero.
Today, I ordered the Steak Taco and the Chilli Con Carne Taco. The Steak Taco was as I expected, however, there was a huge chunk of fat in my meat. It was so big it had to be spat out. A big disappointment coming from a little taco. The Chilli Con Carne Taco was fantastic. The Chilli Con Carne was well flavoured with just the right amount of kick. The vegetables for the most part were fresh, although the lettuce did look like it came out of a packet.

The Mexican food here is good, but not great. Sometimes you need to go back to a place to remind yourself why, and today I did just that.
