While on my way to the Central Markets I noticed Caffe Primo had a $10 lunch special for pizza and pasta. Not for one item but both! Seeing this as a good lunch deal, I had no hesitation in walking in. Located in the new Franklin Street bus station building, this place is modernly decorated with gorgeous high ceilings and fancy light fittings. The all glass exterior allows natural light to flow in, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The staff here were friendly and the service was OK. The table I was seated at was a bit dusty.
Today, I ordered the Penne Bolognese, and the Ham and Pineapple Pizza. The meals arrived 20 minutes after ordering. Both meals arrived at the same time which was disappointing. While I was eating one meal the other was getting cold. The Penne Bolognese was nice. The bolognese sauce was rich in texture and not too watery, and the pasta was al dente.

The pizza on the other hand was average. The pizza was placed on a napkin while it was still hot and some of the napkin was stuck to the base of the pizza. The ham used was the cheap processed stuff. The meals were satisfying, although the quality wasn’t great.

Overall, the place was OK, but you get what you pay for.
