The Fat Chicken franchise is continually expanding with the latest store opening in a small shopping complex in Brighton. If chicken, burgers, seafood, salads or hot packs are your fancy, then you’ve come to the right place.

For lunch, I ordered the Chicken AB. The meal was ready after a 10 minute wait and the owner was kind enough to put the meal on a plate. The chicken was well marinated, tender and succulent, and there was a good proportion of chips to meat. The chips were of a standard variety and were nice and crunchy. The garlic sauce had a nice thick consistency and the amount of sauce was generous.

The staff were very friendly and the service was good. When you dine here, the food comes on a plate and you get proper untensils. Something not all Fat Chicken franchises do. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing is on par with other chicken shops. The large Chicken AB set me back $14.90, which is fairly average. The quality of the ingredients was very good and the serving size was sufficient to keep you going throughout the day.

One of the better chicken shops around and close to the beach!
