The Teahouse is located on the western end of Jetty Road towards the beach. Specialising in tea and other beverages, they also offer a range of snacks in the form of sandwiches, foccacias and toasted sandwiches. There is also a small selection of sweets behind the cabinet.

The decor is modern and well presented, with ample seating in this nice open plan area. Shelving is cleverly used to stock tea accessories while acting as a partition at the same time. Situated on a nice corner position, there is plenty of natural light flowing through it’s dual frontage.

Today, I ordered the Mudcake. To my surprise, it came on a plate that had streaks of coffee on it. The cupcake wasn’t much better. It was dry and tasted as though it had been sitting in the cabinet for most of the day.

I thought the service was quite poor. I spent a good 5 minutes waiting just to be served, and I was the only person in line. When I was served, they couldn’t even give me a clean plate. The cost of the cupcake was $5.50 which is more than I’d pay elsewhere, and having said that, it wasn’t that good.
I can’t say I’d be back at this place anytime soon.
