Glenelg Pizza House is an institution in the area, having been around for over 45 years. Just like your typical pizza bar, there are 15 different pizzas to choose from in 4 different sizes; small (7 inch), large (11 inch), family (14 inch) and party (16 inch). If you’re not in the mood for pizza, there are 8 different types of pasta sauces to be combined with 6 types of pasta.

The decor at this place looks tired and dated. The wooden chairs are worn out and the menus look like they’ve seen better days.

For lunch, I order the Adelaide Special which consists of ham, mushroom, capsicum, anchovies and oregano. The pizza arrives at my table 15 minutes after ordering and is nicely presented. The toppings are fresh and generously applied with the exception of the anchovies. The crust is almost like a pan style and is consistent throughout.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing is average, although I think their small sized pizzas are more expensive than they should be. A small Adelaide Special pizza was $13.60 and only 7 inches in diameter. The small pizza at just about every other place is 9 inches and usually lower in price. Having said that, it is along Jetty Road and it does offer sit down facilities.
I thought the pizza was nice but nothing really special.
