The Tynte Street address has been continuously baking for over 130 years. The Perryman family took over the bakery for 3 generations until it was recently sold in 2011.
The business is based on tradition, with many items baked using original German family recipes. The bread is baked fresh each day, and their selections include ciabatta rolls and sourdough loaves. They also have a large selection of sweet and savoury products which are made using premium quality ingredients.

Today, I had the Gingerbread Max. A nice snack size treat that was firm and chewy in texture. The strong flavours of ground ginger and mixed spice featured quite prominently.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. Filled with tradition, it is easy to see why this bakery has been around for so long, and I have no doubt it will be around for many years to come.
