Tucked away in an alleyway, literally metres away from the beach, is Sushi Arari. Specialising in both Japanese and Korean cuisine, there is a decent selection of bento boxes, noodles, udon, salads, donburi, curries and sushi. The store itself is neat and well presented, and not particularly large, however, there are a sufficient number of seats both inside and out.

For lunch, I ordered the Beef Bulgogi which arrived 15 minutes after ordering. The dish was average in presentation and the serving size was an adequate lunchtime portion. The beef was lean and tender, however, it was slightly on the salty side. The steamed rice had nice individual grains, however, it could have been reheated a bit longer.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was reasonable. Lunch set me back $10 which is the price all good lunch deals should be. The average cost of a menu item is $10, with sushi rolls starting at $2.60, going all the way up to $14.50 for a Seafood Bento Box.

Verdict: A good selection of dishes available for a moderate price. I’ve had better Beef Bulgogi though.
