I’m not really a big coffee drinker but I do know that Please Say Please have a reputation for making great coffee. As a follower of them on Instagram, a picture of their macarons appeared on my news feed as I was working out at the gym. Knowing that they were near by, I couldn’t resist popping in and buying some.

Today, I had their Toblerone Macaron which were selling at $3 each or 4 for $10. I initially thought they looked a bit smaller than average.
As the name of the macaron suggests, the filling was full of smooth melted toblerone chocolate with bits of chewy nougat. The ratio of shell to filling was just right at 2 to 1.
The surface of the macaron shell was smooth which indicated that the almond was ground finely and well sifted. The surface of the shell was thin and provided adequate protection for the soft chewy layer underneath. There were very little air bubbles inside the shell, and the shells were firmly attached to the filling.
The macaron itself wasn’t excessively sweet which is the way it should be.

I didn’t get the most friendliest reception when I rocked up to the store, which was a bit unfortunate. The macaron was really good, however, it was a bit small and pricey for my liking.
