For those that know me, I’m always out and about trying a new restaurant, and rarely am I at home for dinner. But what’s the next best thing to eating out? Getting the food delivered to your door of course!

We were recently asked to put the Menulog service to the test, in exchange for a free meal, and a $30 voucher for one lucky Australian follower (scroll down to the bottom for competition details!).

Menulog is an Australian online restaurant take-out ordering and food delivery service (try saying that 10 times!). It the number one website for online take away with over 3500 registered restaurants to choose from. Apart from having all your favourite restaurants in the one place, there are numerous discounts and special offers associated with each eatery, which makes it even more enticing.

Visit the Menulog website and enter your post code.

Tonight, we’re ordering Italian food from Hyde Park Pizza Bar.
Select what you want to order from the menu. If the restaurant happens to be closed at the time of ordering, it will request a date and time for the meal to be delivered (yes! you can order in advance!). Alternatively, there is the option to pick up the meal yourself.
With each menu selection, if applicable, a pop up window will appear. In the case of pizza selection, I have the choice of removing existing toppings or adding extra ones.
As you order, the bill is tallied up on the right hand side of the screen. Any discounts or special offers will be included in the order.
After that, you check out with your personal details and pay through a secure gateway. You’ll get an SMS confirmation as well as an invoice to your email address.

That’s it! Just set up the dining table and wait for your meal to arrive. In our case, the meal was pre-ordered earlier in the day and delivery was set for 6pm. The food was delivered at exactly 6:03pm. Now that’s service!
Ordering take-out has never been easier. Most importantly, the service is free and the website is simple and easy to use. With everything in the one place, you’ll never have to leave your house again!
