A Mother’s Milk is a popular brunch destination located down Unley Road. Better known for their coffee, this place has slowly branched out into food, with a good menu selection for both breakfast and lunch.

The place is not overly huge with a small number of seats at the front and out back. The decor is basic and well presented with a relaxed casual vibe about it.

For lunch, I ordered the Slow Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich with rocket, red cabbage coleslaw, jalapeno aioli on toasted sour dough. The meal came out 10 minutes after ordering and was very nicely presented.
The pulled pork was soft and delicate, and was provided in generous amounts. The meat was not overly sweet and you could detect the subtle smokey flavours. The rocket was fresh and crisp, while the red cabbage coleslaw added a nice crunchy texture. The jalapeno aioli provided a nice exciting after burn and prevented the sandwich from being too dry. It was very well balanced and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was average. My sandwich set me back $15 which was a fair price considering it’s size and quality. All the breakfast and lunch offerings range from $10-$15 which is reasonable.
Verdict: Their pulled pork sandwich was outstanding and I wouldn’t hesitate in going back for another.
