Sago Fresh is a small hole in the wall store just off the corner of King William and Currie Streets. At the display counter, they sell fresh baguettes with classic ingredients, however, there are a few with more Asian influences. They also sell Asian fried snacks as well as Vietnamese rolls.

For lunch, I ordered the Smoked Salmon Baguette. The smoked salmon was fresh and provided in generous amounts. The lettuce and Spanish onion were fresh, and the capers provided nice balance. The baguette was nice and crusty, and of a good size. A classic set of ingredients that work so well together.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The baguette set me back $8.90 which is a fair price considering the size. A nearby competitor sells the same product for about $7.50 and you only get half as much.
Verdict: Their baguettes are indeed fresh and their smoked salmon baguette is a highlight.
