Woodville Gardens must be the Vietnamese Roll capital of Adelaide with so many stores offering their version of the same product. Nhu Lan is a small store on Hanson Road that offers close to a dozen varieties of the tasty treat.

Today, I ordered the Roast Pork Roll. It was made on the spot and very nicely presented. The roast pork was simply amazing. There was a generous amount provided and there were plenty of meaty and crunchy bits. The pickled diakon radish and carrot provided nice crunchy textures, while the cucumber and coriander were fresh. The chilli wasn’t too hot and the onion was an interesting addition to the roll. You couldn’t really taste the onion though. The bread was nice and crusty which is the way it should be.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The Roast Pork roll set me back $4.50 which was quite reasonable considering how good the roll was.

Verdict: This place is up there with the best in Adelaide.
