Kidman Park Pizza House

Kidman Park Pizza House have been around for over 25 years and they pride themselves as making the best pizzas in the west. After having been to many of the pizza joints in the Grange area, I was going to put this place to the test. The outside of this store doesn’t look too bad with the bright neon lights and the pretty pictures of their products. The inside is just typical of any other pizza place. Pizza is their forte but they also offer pastas, schnitzels, ribs and seafood dishes.

Tonight, I ordered a pizza with the lot. The pizza was ready after a 15 minute wait and was average in presentation. The toppings were of a good quality, and were fresh, with the exception of the pineapple, which I suspect came from a tin can. The amount of toppings was reasonable but not overly generous. Most places offer anchovies with the lot, but this place didn’t. The tomato base was nice but it only had a subtle presence on the pizza. The crust was thin and consistent throughout, but the base was way over cooked. The base was crunchy like a biscuit and I didn’t like it.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. Their pricing is slightly cheaper than their nearby competitors, however, I’m willing to pay more for a better cooked pizza.

The best in the west? I can think of nearby stores that are better.
