Driving down Grange Road, I know of 4 different stores that sell Vietnamese Roast Pork Rolls. You Like Rolls is one of the first stores you’ll come across as you drive out the city. The store is quite small with a handful of seats, while the menu is simple and straight forward with a selection of Vietnamese rolls, Vietnamese cold rolls and Vietnamese salads to choose from.
Today, I ordered the Roast Pork Roll. The roast pork was well marinated and perfectly cooked. There was a nice even balance of meat and fat, while the crunchy pork skin was heavenly. The vegetables were fresh, with the carrot and cucumber providing a nice crunchy texture. The chilli bean curd paste that was applied combined with the copious amounts of fish sauce really made the bread soggy and it nearly masked the flavours of the pork. The bread wasn’t as crusty as I had expected.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The Roast Pork roll was $4.90 and was average in my opinion. I’ve certainly had a lot better even at this price point.
