After finishing an 8km walk along the beach, a few friends and I had worked up an appetite. While walking down Jetty Road, we noticed Pure. The decor is modern and contemporary, and the sheer number of people at this place indicated they were doing something right. The establishment is considerably spacious with plenty of tables, bar stools, benches and even a sofa area.
The aim was to get some lunch but we discovered that they don’t serve lunch until noon, so we had to make do with their breakfast menu. I ordered the Breakfast Slider which was egg, bacon, lettuce and cheese on a slider bun. After ordering at the counter, the meal was ready after a 15 minute wait.
The egg was perfectly cooked with yolk nice and runny in the middle. The bacon was lean and crisp, just how they serve it over in the States. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, while the bun was shiny with a subtle sweetness. A tasty slider but I’m not sure it was worth the $9.50 price tag.

One friend had the Veggie Patch. She felt the mushrooms were too dry, otherwise a delicious dish.

Another friend had the Fruit Plate. It’s not rocket science to prepare this dish.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. Plates were cleared as we finished our meals which is always a good sign. The atmosphere was casual and laid back, while the pricing was on par with other breakfast places.
It’s a nice setup but I’d be in no rush to come back here.
