Located in a tiny little stall just outside Central Market Arcade is the Hot Bread Shop. As their name suggests, they do a lot of bread products, however, there is a selection of sweets to choose from.

Today, I bought one of their Caramel Tarts. I have to say this is one of the best tarts I’ve ever had. The size of the tart may not look big, but the portion size is enough for two. The caramel is thick and gooey, and each bite is like little piece of heaven. The pastry is nice and firm with a subtle sweetness.

The presentation of this place isn’t as appealing as your typical bakery, so I came here with little expectation. The tarts were a pleasant surprise and were well worth the $3.80 price tag. If you’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth, this place is worth checking out.
