ChurrOZ is a food truck that roams around Adelaide serving freshly made churros. Using natural local ingredients, no artificial colours or preservatives, and cooked in a cholesterol free canola oil, these Latin American donuts are the healthiest you’re going to get (if you can call them healthy!).
There are basically two types of churros served here. There is the traditional type of churros which is either rolled in cinnamon and icing sugar, covered in one of their 6 sauces or dipped in one of their 5 chocolate dipping sauces. The alternative is their filled churros which comes with either chocolate or caramel.
On this particular occasion, I ordered the traditional churros with caramel and chocolate sauce. The churros were freshly cooked and piping hot. They had a beautiful golden brown colour, and had a nice crispy coating. The inside was light and fluffy, and in the absence of the cinnamon, really needed the decadent sauces.

So many places sell churros these days, probably because they are cheap and easy to make. The benefit of ChurrOZ is that they are slightly cheaper, and being mobile, they sort of come to you (well, you have to find out where they’ll be first!). They’re best eaten when freshly cooked and this place certainly does that!
