I’ve always been reluctant to try Kim’s BBQ, mainly because of the look of the stall never appealed to me. But then again, none of the stalls in this food court set each other apart. It was only until I read positive reviews that I decided to give this place a go.
Today, I ordered the Bibimbap. The dish was ready within 10 minutes of ordering and was nicely presented. Extra Korean chili sauce was added to make the dish more exciting. It was delicious! The egg was perfectly cooked; the yolk still runny while the egg white wasn’t. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the rice was firm with individual grains. The beef was lean, tender and well marinated. The chili sauce has kick but I didn’t feel like I had just come out of a sauna.

The staff were really friendly, and the service was fast and efficient. For $8, this dish represented good value for money, considering I would pay more than double for the same dish at a restaurant. The servings were the right amount as I felt just full. This place is a diamond in the rough among all the low quality food court food. I’m impressed and will certainly be back!
Moral of the story: Don’t judge a food stall by it’s cover, not this one anyway!
