After coming back from a 3 hour hike at Morialta, we popped in to the Newton Shopping Centre and discovered there weren’t too many places to eat. The only real option for our hungry stomachs was the sushi franchise, Cherry Blossom.

Today, I ordered the Crumbed Prawn and Crumbed Chicken Sushi. The sushi rice tasted a bit cold like it had spent a few hours in the refrigerator. The prawn was the massed produced variety with the tail till left on it. The chicken was thigh fillet, which isn’t my particular favourite. The lettuce and cucumber were fresh. Soy sauce was free but an extra 10 cents for wasabi.

The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Customers get the option to dine in if they wish to. Nothing really special here. The types of sushi you get here are also available elsewhere for about the same price.
