The name “Chuckwagon” can be interpreted in many ways. The definition here in this case comes from the chuck steak that they use to mince their burger patties.
On this particular occasion, I ordered the Ultimate burger and a side of Onion Rings. The burger was of a decent size. Two thick, well cooked patties. The taste of the meat was a bit gamey, which to me, didn’t seem quite right. The bacon was nice and crisp, and the onions a nice golden brown. The bun was nice and shiny, which is just the way I like it! The burger was OK and appropriately priced for the size.
The Onion Rings were nothing special. Lightly battered and bland in taste.
Having been to every specialist burger joint in Adelaide, I’d have to say this wasn’t the best experience.
