Sheesha Lounge

It’s a sight you have to get used to when you walk down Hindley Street and see hoards of people sitting out on the pavement smoking what looks like an over sized bong. This place specialises in Sheesha, which is flavoured tobacco. The instrument used to smoke the tobacco is a hookah. The smoke from the head and body of the hookah is passed through a water bowl before it gets to the mouthpiece.

This place offers a variety of fruit to put on the head of your hookah. Prices range from $20 to $30, unless you want two mouth pieces for your hookah, which will cost you $45. They also sell kebabs and middle eastern sweets.

Baklava
Baklava

Tonight, I ordered a serving of their Baklava. It was pretty good. The pastry was firm yet delicate. The sugar evenly distributed and the pistachio, walnuts and almonds providing that beautiful crunchy texture. If you can overcome the passive smoking, the baklava is a tasty treat!
