The owners of Thanh Thanh used to own a store out in the Western suburbs. To cater for a wider market, it was probably a wise decision to open a shop in the city. Located on Field Street, just outside the Central Markets, Thanh Thanh offers all your traditional Vietnamese dishes. The decor at this store is basic, and the service was slightly below average.

They make a decent Pho here. The beef was lean and there was a generous amount. The broth was piping hot which was required to cook the raw beef slices. The broth was well flavoured and tasty. The noodles and vegetables were fresh.

Not a bad place to come for pho if you’re in the city, although the service could have been better.
