Looking for a new place to eat, I stumbled onto Mum’s Kimbab located in the Market Plaza food court in the Central Markets. This little takeaway store offers around a dozen of your favourite Korean dishes.
Today I ordered their Beef Bulgogi. As I paid, the cashier spoke to the cook in Japanese so I began to question the authenticity of the meals. I could see my meal being cooked and after a ten minute wait, my dish was ready.
The beef was well marinated and the flavours were subtle but the quality of the meat wasn’t great as there several gristly bits. The quantity of meat and the serving as a whole was generous. The rice was OK but it tasted like it had been warming up in a rice cooker for quite some time.

My meal was OK considering the price I was paying. It wasn’t restaurant quality but it did satisfy an empty stomach.
