Eggless is a popular dessert bar located on Goodwood Road. I say it’s popular because you’ll find a long line of people queuing up 30 minutes before opening time. The signage isn’t particularly great so look for the queue as you drive past. They take bookings for 6 or more people, but beware, there are financial penalties if everyone doesn’t turn up. If you come here on the spur of the moment, they have a booking sheet in front of the store and their staff will call you when seats become available.

The Sticky Date Ice Cream is so rich and creamy with the natural sweetness of roughly chopped dates. The broken up walnuts added a nice crunchy texture to this simple and decadent dessert.

The Salted Caramel Wonton Parcels in some ways remind me of chocolate spring rolls. Inside the crunchy wonton shells is a sweet liquid chocolate which is balanced by the subtle saltiness of the caramel.

The Rose Lychee Sago Pudding is thick and sweet with a beautiful pink colour. This is complemented by the natural sweetness of the lychee and the richness of the coconut milk.

The Raspberry Creme Brulee has a consistently thin shell that is easily broken by a spoon. Underneath is a rich smooth layer of custard with a whisper of vanilla and raspberry.

The Moroccan Cheesecake is baked which is just the way I like it. The cheesecake is rich and creamy with a nice thin crumbly base. What makes it Moroccan? I believe it was the hint of rose water, the cinammon and the bit of fairy floss on top.

The Chocolate Espresso Syrup Cake was soft and moist. The sweetness of the syrup complemented the sweetness of the chocolate and the rich aroma of the coffee.

The service has been great on each every occasion I’ve been here. The staff are warm and inviting and they always go through the menu. With the amount of people that come here, the atmosphere is vibrant and yet relaxed. Unlike other dessert places, they don’t tell you to leave until you’re done.

The experience has been enjoyable each and every time I’ve been here. They beat their competitors on price, quality and variety, and still do. This is the place I recommend whenever someone asks me where to go for dessert.
