British India is slowly becoming an institution in Adelaide. Located on the corner of Gouger and Morphett, this restaurant offers all your Indian favourites. The staff are warm and inviting and the place is beautifully decorated.

On this occasion, my friends and I went for the banquet. I really couldn’t leave this place without trying a bit of everything. The banquet was a winner because you get unlimited main dishes! Yes, unlimited deliciously perfectly cooked curries! Could this be the best Indian meal deal ever? Possibly!

Jumping for joy, the food arrived soon after ordering. The chicken in the Butter Chicken so soft and tender, the sauce so smooth and creamy. The barramundi in the Barramundi Masala was silky in texture and absolutely delicious. The lamb in the Saag Ghost was so tender and succulent. The beef in the Beef Qoorma was perfectly cooked. After several rounds of mains, we even got dessert!

There are several top notch Indian places in Adelaide and this is definitely one of them!
