For 2 years in a row, I’ve attended the same wine tour and had lunch at the Bridge Hotel. The hotel is your classic, out in the middle of nowhere, country pub. Between yesterday and the year before, nothing much has really changed. It’s like the whole place is in a time capsule. Fortunately, the good food and great service still hasn’t changed.
Today, I ordered the Porterhouse Steak with Salad. The steak was lean, perfectly cooked and of a decent size. The vegetables in the salad was fresh and not too much dressing was applied. The beer battered chips were crunchy on the outside, and soft and fluffy in the middle. Just the way I like it!

The staff were friendly and the service was pretty good. One of the waiters had so much enthusiasm, it was actually good to see. The pricing is average, and the serving sizes are satisfying. The atmosphere was relaxed, but that wasn’t unexpected considering it was day time.
A nice friendly pub with good food!
