I usually venture out to the Cally for social latin dancing on a Wednesday night. In between Salsa classes and the social night, I often grab something to eat.

On this particular occasion I decided to go for their Chicken Parmi. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the right thickness, but a bit small in diameter. The Napoletana sauce was rich in texture but was spread rather thinly over the schnitzel. The mozzarella topping was generous and spent an adequate amount of time under the grill.

The chips were beautifully cooked; nice and crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy in the inside. The quality was good also; not too thin, not too thick, not too many crunchy bits. The vegetables in the salad was fresh as everything was crisp and crunchy. The vinaigrette dressing was light and tangy, and not too much was added.

The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was good. My meal did take 30 minutes to arrive so I did think it was a bit long. The menu pricing is on par with other pubs, although the I expected a larger schnitzel for the price I paid. It’s an OK place to come for a meal, but I’ve been to better.
