Payneham Chinese Restaurant as you would expect is found in Payneham. The owners used to have a restaurant in the city centre and served up some pretty good yum cha. With rising rental costs, they moved their restaurant out to the suburbs and took their chefs with them.

The new premises are nicely decorated and clean. The staff were friendly and inviting. The Barbecue Pork pastry was delicious with well marinated lean pork inside. The Har Gow was fresh and tasty. The Pork and Cabbage were fried perfectly. The Rice Puffs were chewy goodness. In fact, all the dishes were executed perfectly!

This place does pretty good yum cha and have maintained their consistency since the owners moved into the suburbs. If you live in the area or are around that area, definitely check this place out for yum cha!
