Le Riad is the first Moroccan restaurant that I have ever been to and I was not disappointed. Located on Pulteney Street, this place is decked out like you were actually in Morocco. The staff are warm and inviting and the restaurant itself is nice and cosy. The menu is reasonably priced and offers all the traditional meals you would get in Morocco.
On this occasion, I ordered the Lamb Couscous. The meals arrived within 30 minutes of ordering and all arrived at the same time. We had two friends that arrived a bit late and ordered after us, but they were able to adjust accordingly. My meal was delicious! The lamb was well marinated, juicy and tender. The vegetables were soft and had soaked up Moroccan flavours in the juices. Under the dish was perfectly cooked couscous. The meal came out piping hot so it took some time before I could dig in. The only issue I had with the dish was there was too much couscous and not enough of the lamb and vegetables.

The food was good, the service was exceptional, the atmosphere was relaxed and the prices were reasonable. Not a bad place to go for authentic Moroccan cuisine.
