Siam Thai Bistro is located at the beginning of Unley Road. The restaurant is spacious and modernly decorated with high ceilings being a unique feature. The staff were warm and inviting as you entered the restaurant and the menu offered all of your traditional Thai favourites at a reasonable price.

When I eat out at a particular type of cuisine, I like to order similar dishes that would be available at other restaurants so that a comparison can be made. On this particular occasion, I ordered the Massaman Lamb. The dish was quick to come out and the serving size was OK, but I felt they could have been a bit more generous. The flavours were right and the lamb was well cooked, although some pieces were fatty. I also thought the use of whole peanuts was a nice touch.

Overall, if it wasn’t for the quality of the meat in my dish, I would have found this place hard to fault. The place really has a lot going for it. Not the best Thai place I’ve been to, but it’s up there.
