Cafe Mondiali is across the road from the dance studio where I learn salsa. A group of us usually frequent this place when we feel like Italian after class. I’ve had several dishes here and I must say, they are fairly average. Located on Unley Road, this place offers everything you would expect to find in an Italian restaurant.

On this particular occasion, I ordered the Hawaiian pizza. The pizza came out 20 minutes after ordering and all meals arrived at the same time. The topping appeared to be processed ham and canned pineapple. The pizza base was over cooked and very crunchy. It actually got harder to eat as the pizza got cold. The tomato base was acceptable.

The service was OK. The atmosphere was relaxed but it can get a bit loud at times. I’ve been here 3 times and I’ve never had a good dish here. Perhaps their dishes aren’t good on a Wednesday night? I don’t know but I’m not going back to find out.
